Me, Myself, and I

(as in the Internet)

Carson Huling

My name is Carson Huling and I’m currently a first-semester sophomore at George Mason. I graduated from Westfield High School in 2013 and began classes at Appalachian State University the following fall. After a single semester, I made the decision to transfer closer to home and somehow found my way to Mason. I’m an English major and I spend my days indulging in classic, retro, horror, and Studio Ghibli movies, reading books I find in my basement, attempting to bond with my boyfriend’s cat, and, of course, browsing the Internet.

The Internet

As far as my web presence goes, I am fairly active in various forms of social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I check these platforms daily and make posts semi-regularly. I have also dabbled in blogging using WordPress and Tumblr, but have yet to be able to start and keep up with regular blog posts. I frequent Pinterest for my crafting hobbies, and used Flickr almost religiously as a photography student in high school.

My browsing habits revolve largely around my interests in art, literature, and film. I frequently check movie reviews and news on sites such as Rotten Tomatoes and Indie Wire, browse through cute animal pictures on Reddit, and I’ve even been known to indulge in a bit of online reading (might I recommend Akira).

a little treat…

For your listening enjoyment: my current obsession, sung by the ever so beautiful Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson. If you’ve yet to see their film Her, I highly recommend you find a copy immediately!
